architecture traditional Japan

Japanese architects aimed to be more in harmony with nature and chose wood as their predominate building material. Even today most of Japan's oldest surviving buildings and most famous shrines and temples are made of wood.
Japan is credited with inventing minimalist design. Unlike Western architects who have traditionally tried to make to make their buildings interesting to look at by adding unnecessary decorations and arranging modules of differing heights, Japanese architects focused on making their structures sublime and mysterious on a horizontal level. It has been said that with traditional Japanese architecture you start with one room and take a great effort to get that right before moving on to the next room.

Architecture traditional Aceh - rumoh aceh(aceh traditional house)

The Rumoh Aceh or Acehnese (traditional) house is a style of architecture formerly common in Aceh, Indonesia.
In Acehnese tradition, the house is oriented North-South. It has been suggested that this is a pre-Islamic Hindu practice, to avoid facing the setting sun and death.Acehnese now interpret that the gable of their houses face Mecca (west).
The Acehnese traditional house is built on stilts, providing shelter for people working or walking underneath it. Family heirlooms are stored in the roof of the house, considered the most sacred part of the building. The house is divided into a front and back, plus a middle section, slightly elevated above the front and back. The middle section contains the bedroom and storage space, the front is where guests and special meals are served, and the back section, containing the kitchen, is where children sleep and where women meet their female guests. In some Rumah Aceh, there are female stairs to the back section in addition to the main stairs at the front of the house.

architecture traditional Indonesia - Bali

Architectures
Bali has its own unique architectural designs which are distinctive. We can tell from the traditional architecture of the main gate for each entrance, whether it is the entry of a house, a place of interest, government building or others. The Balinese has their basic concept for architecture. For instance, the north and east corners are considered holy and sacred, all temples must face this side. On the contrary, the west and south are the lowest corners for architecture, so mostly houses face these sides.  If you pay attention to small details you will notice that the entry door of a house has a wall which is called “Aling-Aling”. Its function is to give privacy to the owner and also to repell the bad energies lingerin about the house.
Traditional Institutes
Traditional institutions for the Balinese consist of Village, Banjar, Subak and Sekaha.
